What are your bios settings and hardware specs?

For the lvmdriver error - that means ESXi couldn't start up any NIC on the system. The quick fix is to add an Intel Pro / 1000 GT card to the system.

ABDOWALID, which driver were you using the oem.tgz for? If it was the realtek, then you would either need to add an Intel NIC (or something ESXi will work with) or someone will have to compile an ESXi 4.0 realtek driver. If that's the case you might want to check with the people running this site - http://open-vdrivers.wiki.sourceforge.net/

Has anybody had any luck with this motherboard? I upgraded the bios to revision F7...disabled AMD cool and quiet...and have played with multiple other configurations.

The problem I'm experiencing is when booting up the install CD, I get : " loading module usb...." and then it hangs. No other configuration has seemed to fix this problem...

What do you guys think?

Do you have a USB flash drive that you can try to use to boot from? Also I would disable everything in the BIOS that you don't need (including the USB controller) if you want to install to HD.

Post Re: GA-MA78GM-US2H
I have disabled everything in the bios and even tried the usb key approach. I get the 'panic, cannot get disc parameters.'

I have read that gigabyte has issues with usb key boots?

I have a friend who said he installed w/ this mobo flawlessly, so I'm baffled by the amount of problems I'm having. It literally is a freeze of the machine once it tries to load the usb module.

I've even disabled usb controllers, sata, ide...everything. Used sata cd roms, ide cd roms..nothing seems to budge.

I'm literally at a loss here, and I usually never post to forums unless I have googled myself to death.

Any help is sincerely appreciated.

Are you using a PS2 or USB keyboard?
